Voluntary Emission Reduction (VER) Project Consultancy

The voluntary market puts forward the prospect to develop : (i) projects who have strong sustainable development benefits but are currently not included or do not have substantial uptake under CDM/JI; and (ii), small-scale projects that are unapproachable to CDM/JI due to transaction costs.

Moreover. in Kyoto driven mechanism, the crediting time period for Certified Emission Reduction (CERs) only commences with successful registration of projects, but the emission reductions occurred prior to the CDM Registration do not have the prospect to claim and commercialize their emissions reductions, despite the emissions being real , permanent, quantifiable, never double-counted or double-sold, and independently-verified. These retroactive carbon emission reductions can however, be sold in the voluntary market.
